1969 - While filling out paperwork and waivers for the Lot Six experiment, an experiment run by The Shop by the head of the psych department of Harrison University in New York, Andy McGee meets one Victoria Tomlinson, a woman going through the experiment to spite her somewhat controlling boyfriend. It's during the actual experiment of the hypnotic and hallucinogenic drug that Vicky and Andy fall in love.
1972 - Andy and Vicki are married and have a daughter named Charlie who is starting to exhibit signs of dangerous psychokinetic abilities. The Shop have been keeping tabs on the family and find this very interesting. (Charlie's Age: 1)
1981 - During a lunch with colleagues, Andy has a premonition that something is Wrong and he hurries home. Vicki McGee is tortured and killed for information regarding Charlie's whereabouts, Andy grabs Charlie from school with the excuse that her grandmother is very ill and the remaining McGees start their life on the run.
(charlie's age: 7 years old, a few months shy of 8)
1982 - McGee family makes it to the Manders farm where there is a standoff between them and the Shop. The Manders give them a jeep and they make it to Granthers Cabin where they stay for almost a year in relative peace and quiet. (Charlie's age: 9)
1983 - The Shop catch up with the duo, captured by one John Rainbird. This starts a six and a half month stint in The Shop's compound where father and daughter are kept apart. Rainbird, during an intense power outage, gains Charlie's trust and a week later tells her he'll get messages to her father for her. Andy, sensing something is wrong during the power outages, Pushes himself out of his drug addiction and makes a plan to get him and Charlie to escape. It goes horribly. he dies after being shot by Rainbird and charlie destroys the area out of anger, killing everyone responsible. She spends months on the road, finally making it to the Manders farm in time, slowly dying of Blood poisoning. (Charlie's Age: 10)
1984 - Charlie, healthy and sensing the Shop is closing in again, leaves the Manders farm behind and makes it to New York where she gives her story to a reporter at Rolling Stone. The reporter dies mysteriously before the story can be published. Charlie is on the run again. (Charlie is shy of 11)
1984 - 1990 and on: Charlie moves from town to town, stealing what she can and picking up odd jobs here and there. Minor things like helping reshelve library books or doing dishes and bussing tables at shady restaurants. She's never in the same place for very long, always one step ahead of the Shop, but just barely.
